
Japan Earthquake Relief Fund -東日本大震災義援金活動- ![]()
We are collecting your donations to help the victims of the massive earthquake occurred in Japan on March 11th. The earthquakes, tunami & nuclear plants melt down have casued extensive and severe damage, leaving many people dead, injuired and missing.100% of the donations received will go to the “Japanese Red Cross Society” in Japan.
To donate, please make a check payable to “Sakura” and make a notation for the “Japan Earthquake Relief “ on your check.

Dental Seminar will be held on Sunday, September 11th.
We invite you to join us this seminar. Our instructor, Ms. Shinobu Oshima, a licensed Japanese DDS, will explain about the importance of maintaining healthy teeth and gums. The seminar starts at 1PM at 2815-4th Ave., San Diego. Details, please call 619-993-6890 or email info@sakura- village.org
Sakura House Opens Every Wednesday !!! オープン

Sakura House is a meeting place where our seniors can come and socialize with friends & our volunteers.
Currently, we are open on Wednesdays between 11AM and 2:30PM. Our seniors enjoy hot tea, snacks & Lunch. We have Japanese magazines, books, dvds & games, and arts and crafts demonstrations & instructions. Also, we sing Japanese Folk songs and dancing too.
Sakura will serve Kiku Garden's Friday Lunch Program on Sept. 2nd
Sakura will prepare lunch service to offer the Kiku Gardens residents and seniors living in the neighborhood at 1260-3rd Avenue, Chula Vista, CA. Cost is $3 per meal. We are looking for a few more volunteers to join us.
Sakura joined Obon Festival at Vista Buddhist Temple
Sakura participated the Obon Festival on 7/23 & 7/24 at 150 Cedar Rd., Vista. They had Taiko Drumming, Silent Auction, Buddhist Discussion, Japanese Tea Tasting, Sushi Making and Bon Odori, Japanese Folk Dancing.
